I built Erla because I had a 400-day Duolingo streak and still couldn't understand a native Spanish speaker talking at normal speed. Something was deeply broken about how I was "learning."

The turning point: I stopped drilling vocabulary and started just... listening. A lot. With context. Like a child does.

Two weeks later, things started clicking. I could catch full sentences. I stopped freezing when someone spoke to me.

Erla is my attempt to systematize that method into something anyone can use in 10 minutes a day.
